Why so many enquiries arrive after you close
- Patients research after work. Evenings and weekends are when people have time to compare clinics.
- Visitors live in other time zones. A patient flying in for treatment plans it from home, and her evening isn't yours.
- Unpublished prices create messages. In our September 2026 check, 107 of 151 Dubai aesthetic clinics published no price. Every patient who wants one has to ask.
What recent research says
A November 2025 survey of more than 1,000 salon and spa clients (Zenoti, 2025) found:
- 71% had decided not to book because it was too hard to reach someone or book online.
- 35% need to manage appointments outside normal business hours.
- 63% are more likely to choose a business that helps them outside normal hours.
Those are US beauty clients, not Dubai clinic patients. But the behaviour is the same: if nobody answers, she books somewhere that does.
The usual fixes, and where they fall short
- An auto-reply saying "we'll get back to you". It's polite, but it doesn't offer a time, so she keeps looking.
- An evening shift. It costs a salary, covers one or two languages, and still ends at some point.
- A chatbot that sends a booking link. It's better than silence, but many patients never click it, and the link rarely knows your real free slots.
Test your own clinic tonight (10 minutes)
- At 9pm, message your clinic from a personal number as a patient would: "Hi, how much is a [your most popular treatment] and do you have anything this week?"
- Time the reply. Note whether it answered the price and offered two specific times, not just "please call us".
- Check the next morning. Did anyone follow up if you didn't reply?
If you'd rather not do it yourself, we'll run a free After-Hours Check and send you a one-page score.
Work out what it costs you
You only need four numbers, and they should all be yours:
enquiries a month × share that arrive after you close × share who book elsewhere by morning × average spend per visit
Our calculator does the maths with your figures. It's your assumptions, not our estimate.
What good looks like
She messages at 9:02pm. She gets a reply by 9:03pm in her language, with the price and its condition and two times to choose from. She picks one, pays the deposit if you take one, and gets a reminder the day before. Your team sees it all in the morning, already booked.
Quick answers
How fast should a clinic reply to a WhatsApp enquiry?
As fast as possible, including after hours. In a 2025 survey of more than 1,000 salon and spa clients, 71% said they had decided not to book because it was too hard to reach someone or book online.
How can I check my clinic's after-hours response?
Message your own clinic at 9pm as a patient would, asking for a price and a time. Time the reply, check whether it offered specific appointment times, and see whether anyone followed up the next morning.
